Democracy was caged in this country over 100 years ago when Congress handed the nation's sovereign money power to the oligarch's private banking system. People have been organizing resistance to the oligarchic system we live under for a long time but are ignored by most people. There was a swell of resistance in the late 19th century of Greenback parties demanding that government fullfill its Constitutional responsibility to the welfare of the nation and to retard the crimes of capital. They lost in 1912. The Green Party emerged over 20 years ago to organize resistance to the uniparty and has largely been ignored along with other efforts, who often deneuter themselves to get funding. BRICS, now with 23 member nations, represents an act of sovereignty and resistance in the face of the external pressures of the Anglo-American Empire's petro-dollar regime whose focus is on war and subjugation for profit. BRICS countries want trade and sustainable development and want to use their own national currencies for trade, exercising their sovereign right. We all want that, I think, so why is there so little resistance to economic repression and war being organized? There are national monetary reform goups comprising an international movement for monetary reform all wondering why as well. We are paying for our own subjugation. monetaryallaince.org
