I agree as well. Democracy is what we want and need despite it being the most abused term in the language. We have allowed money to become a source of revenue to a relatively small number of issuers which has allowed them such wealth as to govern us undemocratically. Money and power are two sides of the same coin and as the ancient Greeks discovered, the most vital prerogative of democratic self-governance is the control of money creation. Gesell takes us a step further to realizing that allowing money to be a store of value upsets the exchange function of money by allowing massive accumulation for market manipulation by the private issuers.
