I think corporate state censorship is a bigger problem than free speech. The effective algorithmic manipulation of people to divide them into tribalistic camps is done so there will be no opposition to bombing people. world-around for profit and control. "Freedom for me but not for thee" Is an ideology embraced by the Nazis, the Zionists, and the corporate state currently ruling the West. The assumption that our government doesn't lie to us is an astonishing denial of facts stemming from a lack of education, lots of schooling but no education. This along with people's ignorance of government and especially history is fertile ground for manipulation as you noted. We do not have a government of by and for the people, it is a corporate state in which private interest control the creation and allocation of money which is used for manipulation and control. It is a system that concentrates wealth to the few which why people like Zuckerberg can lose $47 billion and still be richer that he was yesterday. We have no democracy, we have an uncaring and violent plutocracy. George Laky describes how the left and right brawled in the streets in Germany and Italy until the mass formation ended it but in the Nordic countries the left and right got together to demand humane concessions from their wealthy masters. While I am happy you are thinking it frightens me that you think free speech is the problem and not the private control of money, which is the governing factor, like it or not. I hope you will view this documentary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS5_uyTNpZs&t=1705s and will study the information at monetaryalliance.org. for, as you say, "free speech is crucial."
