I agree with your point about people which is why I try to stay focused on the money system because it has a major impact on the psychology and whether or not it was by design, it can certainly be fixed by design. I hope the paradigm is shifting from greed to care and I know changing the money system could help make that happen. The "first cause" of money sets the tone for the economy. In the current privately controlled system of debt-money the first cause is personal gain or greed. This is why by far most of the money is created for speculation, making money off of money, not production. The system also concentrates wealth via interest which all goes to the top. In a public money system, which creates money as a permanently circulating asset, not a debt, the first cause is care because it is created for public benefit in the real economy where we all live and work, not in speculative economy where the rich play.
