It never had to be this way, there were and are some people with the right ideas in every generation of every age, they were rarely listened to and they are ignored today. People like the father of Ecological Economics, the inspiration for the 1933 Chicago Plan, Frederick Soddy, who as a young man was awarded the Noble Prize for his advancement in nuclear technology who, upon reflection realized that the political power establishment would weaponize it and became a advocate for monetary reform and provided the scientific evidence that it was vital to democratic self-governance which was the only way he could see us making better decisions, to put the public back in public policy which is now dictated by corporations.
