So the state and its media are pushing a particular narrative not allowing dissenting or alternative narratives. That is a clear signal that it is propaganda. And people who don’t recognize it as propaganda then its probably working especially if they start calling those who challenge that narrative names. Media literacy takes some study, read Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent, read McLuhan's, The Medium is the Message, and dare to consider other narratives. Swallowing the state narrative without question has its benefits I suppose, though perhaps not for one’s soul, but once you know you can’t unknow. You might check out all the propaganda techniques, you can find them in a search, at least we used to. They have been censoring journalists who are telling the truth, they don’t censor lies. Julian Assange is in prison for publishing the truth, not lies. Chelsea Manning was tortured, not because she was lying but because she told the truth.
