The whole mess can be laid at the feet of the debt-based money system, a for-profit money system is a system of usury which has negative psychological consequences. We must replace our "leaders" with ethical people who will implement a sovereign money system issuing demurrage currency. This eliminates the hoarding and power aspect of the money that drives the inequality and ecological destruction.
