That would make our economy take off like a rocket.

No more corporate lobbies with a Congress we respect.

Now I know you’re all thinking of the possibilities
We could save the oceans and replant all the trees
Have a quality of life beyond anything we’ve seen
No more war and conflagration and all our systems green.

Our Constitution’s great but it’s just a little light,
On clarity of what money is, so we’ve got to make it tight.
A Corporation’s not a person we need to make that clear.
A construct to protect the rich, democracy they fear.
Now money cannot talk, the whole idea is absurd,
but it can corrupt Congress at least that’s what I heard.
Corporate minions facilitate war upon our world,
just to make more money, their greedy flag unfurled.
We’ve all come together here to create a better way.
Amend the Constitution and support the MTA.
We cannot let money rule, we’ve got to right this wrong.
We’re the ones to do it, that’s why we sing this song.
