Why yes, I think we can. Thank you for asking! We can change the energy of money from greed to care. First search “the psychological consequences of money” and understand that we have a private monetary system creating money as debt for profit which is usury; the abuse of monetary authority for personal gain. No wonder we have problems. Instead we need a public monetary system originating money, not as a debt, but as an asset for public care, not private profit. Can we convince the oligarchs to stop what they are doing and help us do it right? If one understands the psychological effects of usury, or has read Anand Giridharadas latest book, ‘Winners Take All,’ you will understand why the answer is no. The Greeks recognized 10 centuries before Christ that a vital prerogative of democratic governance was for government to originate the money for public purpose as its first use. That means they outlawed the oligarch’s money to issue their own, thanks to Lycurgus. I think any government that does not create and direct its money is controlled by those who do. We have an enormous project on our hands, we need to replace the leadership and our money system. We already have legislation that would do it waiting to be reintroduced, passed and implemented, The NEED Act HR2990. It contains the 3 part harmony of monetary reform as does the Green Party of U.S. platform. I would love to talk to you more about all this and how we get back to the soil you mention in a recent article. I appreciate any positive movements in the direction survival. BMRC@gp.org
